Workshop Series Description Join Mimi Martel for a day of dynamic, fascinating and educational Yoga Tune Up workshops! This workshop series is specifically designed to eradicate pain, relieve tension and improve your posture by activating and opening up your FEET, CORE AND HIPS. Perfect for fitness, race or bike preparation or to improve athletic performance. Also, ideal for those who suffer from chronic back and hip pain, herniated disc, sacroiliac problems or problems related to the pelvic floor or abdominals.
Learn to unlock, untie, loosen your muscles to strengthen, support and stabilize your joints. This workshop is for everyone (beginner included). No yoga experience is required.
Explore your CORE: Tune Up your Diaphragm and Nervous System (3:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
This workshop is specially crafted to induce a deep sense of relaxation in your body, to activate your parasympathetic nervous system and eradicate pain and tensions related to your respiratory system. It ideal for people who wish to improve their lung capacity and athletic performance (V02 max), people who suffer from chronic tensions in the neck and shoulders or people who suffer from allergies, asthma, panic or anxiety attacks, depression or chronic stress.
With the Coregeous ball, you will learn to unblock and free your accessory respiratory muscles often overly abused and misused (neck, shoulder and rib cage) and to awaken and mobilize your main respiratory muscle, the diaphragm, to maximize each breath.
This workshop will provide you with extensive down regulation with all the effects of deep tissue massage, as well as improve your breathing mechanism, digestive and nervous system. Open to all students. No experience needed.
