Detachment in mindfulness is the ultimate state of being, we see things as they are and are able to release our judgments. When we release and let go of attachments we allow for more space in our lives for positivity and new ideas. Nicole Fortunaso our resident life coach and reiki master, will show you how to practice detachment in your everyday life, with simple and practical strategies.
In this class, we look at all certain aspects of our lives where the practice of detachment can be applied to help bring us more peace, joy and mindfulness in all we do.
Week 1: Preparing the mind to detach release and relax – through mindful exploration exercises and discussions This week is about getting to know ourselves and one another - exploring what is mindfulness and how our thoughts shape our reality. We will explore the concept that all our feelings and reality happen from within us and how our external environment is an invitation to look within.
Week 2: Observation of our-selves without judgement. In this week we will observe ourselves and our interactions at work and family duties. We will look at ways we can stay, calm and resilient and then look at proactive solutions to help us get on top of our work and working relationships through successfully setting boundaries and learning how to prioritize importance to reduce our stress. Observation without judgement allows us to create an abundance mindset while we work.
Week 3: Detachment. Detaching from relationship interactions creates the space for compassionate listening and creates gratitude for our experiences. We will explore ways we can proactively work with relationships through compassionate listening and understanding the views of others. We will also discuss signs that let us know when it is time to set new boundaries and practice the art of saying ‘no’.
Week 4: Release. When you observe and detach it makes it easier to release the things that we no longer need. Allowing for peace, calm and tranquility. In this week, we look at common themes that form our reality with home, work, and relationships and start to look at how we can turn those themes into positive affirmations and values that embody a mindful state of being that has joy, compassion, and understanding. You were born to be a being of joy – let’s create that!
Week 5: Empowerment. How to proactively sustain the creation of our own joy. Here we explore heart-centered strategies to stay calm and mindful. Being proactive toward a positive mindset can be managed through so many outlets it is just a matter of exploring and finding ones that support us. Proactively connecting with the things that sustain us and bring us joy like exercise, eating and organizing our space to support the manifestation of joy in our lives.
In each 1 hr 15min workshop we will explore the topic of detachment through discussions, brainstorming and self-reflection worksheets. So we can really find practical ways that you can start to detach, release and relax in your life. In each session, we will use mindfulness to go into the heart of the topics and then use mindfulness and reiki to assist us in releasing anything that is bothering us.
