Learning to Let Go (VIRTUAL)


For every action, there is an equal and opposing reaction. The harder we resist change, the harder it is going to be to make a change and the more blocked up and tight we will be in our body and mind. If we can teach our self to relax and go with the flow, we will then be able to create space for new opportunity and experiences.
 
This workshop teaches you the importance of learning to let go physically and mentally. In this workshop learn about the importance of the softer side of yoga. Enjoy an open discussion to understand the benefits of restorative, yin, and gentle yoga practices and end with a juicy restorative practice to replenish and recharge your body and mind.

 

Topics to be covered:

  • Why sometimes less is more for your body and mind
  • Finding balance in your yoga practice
  • What are Yang vs. Yin styles and why both are important
  • The effects of yoga on your nervous system
  • The importance of props and how to use them
  • Setting an intention to release and let go

About Melissa:

Melissa Mungiovi holds a Bachelor of Education, specializing in Early Childhood and Elementary education. She has over 15 years of work experience in the field.

She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Wanting to share the joy of yoga with her students, she got certified in Kundalini yoga through the Radiant Child program. Melissa is also a 200h Ashtanga Yoga Alliance certified teacher, having completed her certification at Energie EnCorps with teachers Rozel Gonzales and Shankara Darby. She has been the official assistant for the Yoga Teacher Training and Mentorship Program since 2016.
